Kiya sat in her seat reading her book alone. Her eye held no light. Scratches marred her body, like faded charcoal drawings. Bruises, a map of pain, dotted her arms ,legs and face .Bandages, stained with dried blood, wrapped around her body. Her right eye, hidden behind the medical eyepatch, seemed to stare straight through whoever dared to look.
