Malani stood at the edge of a bridge. She glanced down at the rapid, uncontrolled waters below as the wind gently blew. The fall would surely kill her. Why was she hesitating? She wanted to die, she needed to. Any sane person would do exactly what she was doing right now if she was in her position.

All her life, she had been only living because of sheer will and a dash of luck. It's safe to say if she didn't do this, her luck would run out and she would rather die on her own terms.

The cold water tossed and churned. She sighed. Maybe if she had someone worthy of saying goodbye to, it wpuld make this easier. Some person that gave her that lingering feeling of hope. Malani shook her head, tossing the thought away. She was just procrastinating. She leaned forward and began to take the step.

Just as she was about to do it, a strong handed gripped her wrist, stopping her from taking that detrimental step. She turned to see who it was, who would take away her life long wish. She turned to yell, but when she looked, she was met with the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen. They gave a strange, unfelt sensation. . .hope. She swallowed and glared, softly.
