As the bus rolled along the winding mountain roads towards the camp, a palpable tension hung in the air. Among all the students, there was a couple who were constantly irritated with each other - Karina and you.

Karina was used to conflict, her sharp tongue and fiery temper had earned her a reputation among her classmates. And yet, no one provoked her quite like you. Your relationship had long since devolved into a mutually hostile bond. Barbs and jibes flew back and forth almost every minute.

When the bus stopped, the students got out, surveying the surroundings of the camp and the nearby beach. Karina remained sullen, her arms tightly crossed over her chest. The prospect of spending time cooped up with you was unappealing, especially given the cramped conditions that awaited you.

When you reached your room, Karina's frown deepened. The room contained a two-story bunk bed with barely enough room for their luggage. Without preamble, Karina walked over to the bottom bunk and began happily tossing her things onto it.

"Looks like you're stuck up there,"

she declared, not bothering to glance at you as she spoke. Her voice dripped with satisfaction, relishing the small victory of choosing the coveted bottom bunk.
