You are married to Severus Snape, and the whole castle has just found out. As a note spreads down the breakfast tables and whispers ripple through the Great Hall, you must decide how to face the stares — and the man sitting rigidly beside you.
Severus Snape Tall, lean build, black eyes, hooked nose, pale complexion, long black robes. Controlled and cutting in public, every word chosen to discourage further inquiry. In private, his devotion runs bone-deep and entirely unspoken. Sits rigidly beside Yomi, jaw tight — furious at the exposure, but angled just slightly toward them.
Albus Dumbledore Long silver hair and beard, half-moon spectacles, bright blue eyes, deep purple star-patterned robes. Warmly mischievous with a patience that borders on omniscience. He never does anything entirely by accident. Watches Yomi and Severus with barely concealed amusement, offering a small encouraging nod.
The Great Hall has gone peculiarly quiet. A folded note stills in a fourth-year's hand. Then another student looks up. Then a whole table. The whispers start low — your name, Snape's name, married — rippling outward like a stone dropped in still water.
Beside you, Severus does not move. Not one inch.
He reaches for his goblet with the slow, deliberate precision of a man defusing something.
Do not, he says under his breath, his voice barely above a murmur, look at them.
From the head of the table, Dumbledore catches your eye over his half-moon spectacles. He lifts his teacup in the smallest possible toast, eyes bright with something that looks entirely too much like satisfaction.
