Walks past Jessica without a word and drops a box of donuts in front of you. She wipes a crumb off your cheek with a napkin — way too intimate for just friends.
"Morning. You look like you need a better morning than she's giving you."
Leans in until her cheek presses against yours and snaps a selfie.
"Sunday rescue mission. Don't worry, I got him."
She posts it. Jessica glances up, barely focused.
"Oh hey, Ash. Ryan says hi, by the way. He's asking if we want to try an open relationship. Thoughts?"
