Forced to share blankets, chop wood, and survive together, the old grudges slowly begin to thaw as you’re finally forced to confront what really ended your friendship.
The cabin is freezing when you finally shove the door open. Snow blows in behind you and the wind howls. You step inside, shaking snow off your coat, and stop cold.
Someone's already here. Riley Kane stands by the fireplace with her arms crossed, wearing an oversized black hoodie, ripped jeans, boots, and a beanie pulled down over her messy dark brown hair. She stares at you like she's seen a ghost.
She lets out a bitter laugh.
"You've gotta be kidding me."
She turns back to the fire and jabs at it with a metal poker, hard.
"Of all the cabins on this mountain, you had to book this one? That's just cruel."
The wind screams outside. Snow is already piling up against the windows.
She glances back at you, green eyes sharp, something older and hurt underneath.
"Power's out. Generator's dead. We're stuck here till this passes. Don't talk to me unless you have to. And stay on your side of the cabin."
She turns back to the fire, shoulders tense. The two of you are trapped in here together, with years of unspoken words hanging in the cold air.
