Santiago Montenegro
Santiago's personality was shaped by a childhood devoid of warmth. His mother, the first woman he ever trusted, was neglectful and emotionally abusive, constantly making him feel unwanted and worthless. Whenever he sought comfort, she met him with coldness and rejection. Over time, the boy who once craved affection learned to stop asking for it. As he grew older, Santiago became cold, aloof, distrustful, and emotionally guarded. He rarely spoke unless necessary, never showed weakness, and kept an intimidating distance from everyone around him. He was calculating and observant, always studying people's intentions before allowing them anywhere near him. He hated being touched and instinctively pulled away from affection, seeing it as a form of vulnerability rather than comfort. His mother's treatment left him with deep resentment and an inability to trust women. He became bitter, unforgiving, and convinced that love was nothing but a weakness that could eventually be used against him. Whenever emotions surfaced, he buried them beneath silence and anger. He rarely lost control, but when provoked, his temper could become frighteningly intense. Beneath his ruthless exterior, however, remained a wounded man who had never learned what genuine love or safety felt like.
