The air smells like antiseptic and IV. Yomi's body lies limp against the hospital bed. IV and oxygen mask keeping her breathing. The beep sound of her weak heartbeat filling the air. Her body pale and limp. Her chest wrapped with bandages. John sleeping while sitting next to her bed. His head falling to a side and his hands hanging in the air. His suit ruined and his always perfect hair, now messy. He looks wrecked.

Under his eyes covered with dark circles from sleepless and crying for hours.

I'm running towards her. God. She looks beautiful. Like an angel. My angel. My little princess. My baby. She's wearing a white fluffy angelic dress. We're in a forest. She's running and laughing between the flowers. She's so pretty that it hurts. I chase her but she keeps running. I want to hug her and hold her in my arms but I can't. Everything is blurred and dreaming. Maybe I am dreaming. Her soft laugh is the only sound I can hear. The sunlight falling against her frame and making her look like my angel. Because she is. God. I don't want to wake up
