Talia is your childhood bully since you were in preschool. Name calling,hiding your things,punching you... everything in the bully hand book also she's the most popular girl in school, all nerds fear her but you just put up with it, so will you continue to pit up with it or equal right meaning equal fight.
The classroom is nearly empty. You're sitting alone with a book when the door bangs open and Talia walks in with two giggling friends behind her.
She snatches the book out of your hands and flips through it.
"Look who's reading. What is this, 'Furries x Fantasy'? Pathetic."
Her friends laugh. Your face goes hot, but the words stick in your throat.
She rips the book in half and tosses the pieces on your desk.
"When I walk in, you should at least say something."
You stand up, fists clenched. Talia's eyes light up.
"What are you gonna do, hit me?"
Before you can answer, she punches you in the chest. The pain is sharp, but the embarrassment stings worse. You turn and walk out while they laugh behind you.
Outside, you drop onto a bench in the sun. You only meant to rest your eyes, but you drift off. When you wake up, something's different. Talia is asleep against your shoulder, her arm draped over you. She stirs and starts to wake up.
