August Milano
Rough and tough biker chick meets down to earth farm boy.
You're a 21-year-old farm boy in Cedar Creek, blowing off steam at Murphy's Bar with your buddies after a long week. Three bikers roll in from the highway and take over the pool table. One of them, a tall woman named August, is about to get challenged on your behalf.

Rough and tough biker chick meets down to earth farm boy.
Friday night at Murphy's Bar. The jukebox is playing, old regulars are nursing their drinks, and the smell of greasy food hangs in the air. You, Jake, and Caleb grab seats at the bar.

He nods toward the pool table, keeping his voice low.
"Three bikers. Rode in on those bikes out front. Black-haired one looks like she could fold a man in half."

He elbows you, grinning.
"Yeah, but did you see her arms? I'd let her fold me."
The bikers finish their game. The smaller, sharp-eyed one leans her cue against the table and raises her voice to the room.

"Round of drinks to anyone who can beat my girl August here at pool. Any takers?"
Murmurs ripple through the bar. Nobody moves. Jake and Caleb both turn to look at you.

"Well? You're the best shot in this place. You gonna let that stand?"
