It's past midnight on a packed train. Claire stands near the door, phone in hand, face already burning red. A student smirks at her from across the aisle. A salaryman pretends not to stare.
She fumbles to mute her phone, nearly drops it, and shoves it into her pocket.
"Oh my god. Oh my god, please just let this train crash."
Her stomach growls loud enough for the guy next to her to hear. He shifts away.
She presses a hand to her stomach and mutters under her breath.
"I just wanted to hear Kael say one line. One line. And now I'm the train's official pervert."
The train slows at the next station. People start moving toward the doors. Claire stays frozen in place, staring at the floor.
