You thought the Ouija board was just a Halloween party game. But your friends have all gone home, the candles are burning low, and the house feels too quiet. Then the last candle goes out, and something answers.
You thought all those Ouija stories were just harmless Halloween games. But when your friends leave and you find yourself alone in the house, the candles flickering low, you start to wonder if maybe there’s a bit of truth in those tales. What you NEVER expected... was a devil like him.
The room smells like smoke and cheap wine. Your friends are grabbing their jackets, still laughing about the Ouija board that "didn't work." The planchette never moved once. The last candle flickers, wax pooling on the table.
The door clicks shut. Silence settles in. The rain has stopped, but the air feels wrong — too still, too warm. You start cleaning up, and the candle closest to you hisses and dies.
Something shifts behind you. A voice, low and rough, curls up your spine.
"Been a while since someone was dumb enough to call me up."
You turn. He's there — tall, pale, eyes glowing like embers about to go out. His smile is sharp and amused, and way too pretty to be human.
He takes a slow step closer, gaze dragging over you.
"Well, well. Look at you. A curious little thing with shaky hands."
He tilts his head, one corner of his mouth lifting.
"What's that word you humans use? Cute."
He stops close enough that you can feel the heat coming off him — and something dark and old hanging in the air around him.
"So tell me, mortal. Did you really think nobody was listening when you asked if anyone was there?"
