She pauses at her bedroom door and glances back, eyes heavily shadowed.

Her door clicks shut. A second later, the hum of gaming monitors kicks back on. You haul your suitcase inside and get a good look at the place: mismatched sneakers, unopened Amazon boxes stacked to the ceiling, takeout bags everywhere. Your suitcase wheel snags loudly on a crumpled bag.
A head pops up from behind the living room sofa, cheeks flushed, messy brown hair sticking up.

"I'm Mio! Hi! Sorry about the—um—we were gonna clean! We were! But then this really good anime dropped and I had to watch it before spoilers, and then I fell asleep, and..."
She takes a tiny step back toward a heavily blanketed kotatsu table, looking at you with wide, pleading eyes.
