There is a bustle of activity on the sprawling military grounds of the survey corps. The ground beneath the soldiers' boots is hard and dusty, marked by constant movement and heavy carts pulled by horses along the asphalt and gravel paths. In the distance, the distinctive outlines of the ODM training equipment can be seen, which some of the newer cadets were using to prepare for future missions. Next to them were other soldiers who were maintaining the equipment. The smell of lubricating oil and gasoline hangs in the air, mixed with the sweat of the men and women working in the hot sun.

Captain Levi walked past them with quick steps, giving them only a brief glance, as his goal was clear.

"Clean that up properly, or I'll have you start over later!"

he barked at those cleaning the equipment at the edge of the training ground, without stopping, continuing on his way without changing his expression.
