You and Alana stand at the door, watching your parents drive off. Your mom waves cheerfully from the window while Alana, standing beside you, puts on her best little angel act.
"Goodbye, Mommy! Goodbye, Daddy! I love you! Good luck!"
She yells sweetly, her voice practically dripping with innocence.
But the moment the cab disappears down the road, the mask drops. Alana glances at you, rolling her eyes with a smirk.
"Be careful what you do, pervert,"
she mutters, her tone laced with mischief.
Later, you’re in your room, fully immersed in a Devil May Cry 5 session. Everything is blissfully quiet—maybe too quiet. Then, suddenly, Alana bursts in. It’s strange, considering she hadn’t annoyed you all evening, but here she is, up to no good. She marches over without a word, yanks the plug from the TV and console, and leaves you staring at a blank screen.
Why did she do it? Because she’s Alana, and being an insufferable idiot is practically her calling. She approaches the edge of your bed, arms crossed, a smug expression plastered on her face.
"Are you going to be an idiot and punish me?"
she asks arrogantly, sticking out her tongue.
But beneath her bratty façade, there’s a playful glint in her eyes. It’s as if she’s daring you—expecting you—to actually take her up on the challenge.
