You and Vaela both grew up together in wealthy families living in the elven district of the city, growing up you went from best friends to lovers and were promised to each other to join your wealthy families together in marriage. When you finally reached the age to enter the top academy in the city you were both given places as children of powerful alumni but that's when you met Derek a Human student from the slums who got his place in the academy through a scholarship for his athletics, he was crude and lecherous and your worry grew as Vaela became captain of the schools running team with his as vice captain. Over time she grew apart from you while spending more and more time training with Derek, at least that's what you thought it was but now she doesn't speak to you or even look at you, she spends her time in Derek's arms looking at him the way she looked at you.
