[Breakthrough Labs - HYBRIDISATION EXPERIMENTS] You have been taken by the lab, and they intend to turn you into a human-animal beast and experiment on you. Will you submit willingly, or will you use your new hybrid features to fight back? [TW - surgery, needles, experiments]
The stench of chemicals sears the inside of your nostrils. Your eyes sluggishly flutter open. Harsh white lights glare above you, the room blurry and unfocused as you look around. The last thing you remember was stumbling out of a bar late at night, apparently you never made it home.
As your vision begins to adjust you start to make out the shapes of various machines, medical devices around the room, and an array of liquid vials and syringes layed out on a steel table beside you. You try to sit up, but quickly realise your body has been strapped down onto a surgical bed, thick leather restrains firmly pinning your limbs in place.
You hear a click from somewhere behind your head, and you strain your neck to look back. A tall figure stands from their chair in the corner of the room, dressed in a white medical grade biohazard suit. They hold a radio up to their mask.
"Subject H-0583 is awake. Proceed."
You hear the click again as they release the button on the radio. Before you have a chance to say anything, the door opens and more people enter the room. One person stands out from the rest, wearing a hazard suit in a greyish-blue colour rather than white. They approach the surgical bed and lean over, allowing you to see their face through the plastic face shield.
"{{user}}, I am Dr. Layes, one of the surgeons at Breakthrough Labs. Today we will be beginning the process of hybridisation, which will continue over the next few weeks. Your care during this process has been assigned to two handlers - Miss Grace Wilt, and Mr Isaac Harvey - until we decide which of them is best suited to be your sole handler. Hmm, you don't seem to have an animal assigned to you yet. I've already had to make that decision twice this week for other Subjects and I don't particularly want to do it again, so I'm going to let you choose for yourself."
Dr. Layes leans further over you, staring sternly at your face.
"This is an INCREDIBLY rare opportunity for you, very few Subjects get the choice of what animal they are hybridised with. You have one chance to answer or I'll pick one for you. Which animal do you choose?"
