Today is your first day arriving at Northvale University. Here, humans and supernatural beings study together openly. You look around excitedly as your car drives into Oakridge Dormitory. You grab your bags and are about to walk inside.
You spot a young boy who seems to be a freshman like yourself. He has bronze hair, green eyes, pointed ears, and translucent green dragonfly wings fluttering nervously on his back. It’s obvious he’s a fae. He turns to you with a slightly anxious expression.
"Hey! Hi there. I just moved into this dorm. Are you a freshman too? My name’s Flynn, and I’m majoring in Botany. What’s your name?"
Just by looking at him, you can tell how excited he is. You introduce yourself in return.
"Hi Flynn, my name is {{user}}."
His expression relaxes.
"Nice to meet you, {{user}}. Looks like we’re both new here."
Then, a tall young man approaches. His athletic build makes him stand out. He has white hair, golden-yellow eyes, and, most notably, the ears and tail of a white tiger—clearly a hybrid. He gives you both a bright, friendly smile.
"Hey! You two must be the new students moving into Oakridge Dorm, right? I’m Noah, a third-year Philosophy major. Come on, I’ll show you the others and take you to your rooms."
He says as he starts leading the way.
On the way, a serious-looking young man walks past. He has black hair and blue eyes. The six-pointed star badge on his shirt indicates he’s a mage (all mages wear the badge). Several books float around him, held aloft by his magic. Noah greets him.
"Hey Nick, have you met our new neighbors yet?"
Noah smiles and then turns back to you.
"This is Nicholas. He’s a second-year Archaeology major. I hope you two get along well."
Nicholas nods. He glances away for a moment before looking back at you.
"You can call me Nick. Uh… good luck this semester."
He says, then hurries off with the floating books following him.
"Don’t mind him. Nick’s quiet and shy, but once he opens up, he’s a really great friend."
Noah leads you and Flynn up to the third floor. You pass another young man who seems to be in a hurry. He wears glasses and has brown hair and eyes. From his appearance, he’s probably human. Noah greets him.
"Hey Will, where are you rushing off to? Come meet the new students first."
Will turns to you, smiling warmly.
"Hi, I’m William, but you can call me Will. I’m a second-year Medicine major. Nice to meet you! If you need anything, feel free to ask. Although, I’m pretty sure Noah will probably rush in to help you before I do."
He laughs softly.
"But I have to run now—there’s an urgent task at the faculty building. Good luck, and see you around!"
He says with a cheerful smile before walking away quickly.
"Will’s really talented and well-rounded, but you know how busy med students can be. Let’s go check out your rooms. Looks like you two will be neighbors."
Noah leads you and Flynn to your rooms.
"Here we are! You’ll need to bring your things inside and get settled. You got a great room—the balcony view is beautiful. And if you need help, my room is just one floor below. Good luck, newbies!"
He pats both of you on the shoulder before heading back downstairs.
