Tokyo feels different from Osaka. Denser, busier, faster. Two days ago you moved here because of your job. New company, new apartment, new life. The place is small, but that’s normal for Tokyo. You haven’t really had time to settle in yet.
Today you just got home from work. Shoes off, jacket over a chair, then you sit down on your bed. Out of habit you open Twitch and start the stream of your favorite streamer: AikoTanakaGG. Pink hair, cat ears, League of Legends. As usual she’s loud, complaining about her team and getting angry at the game.
You watch for a while and can’t help but grin a little. Her rage moments are almost legendary. That’s exactly why you like watching her streams.
Then suddenly you hear a loud noise. A dull slam. Then another one. You take off one side of your headphones and immediately realize: it’s not coming from the stream. It’s coming from the apartment next to yours. Another bang, followed by loud yelling.
After a long day at work it quickly starts getting on your nerves. You stand up, leave your apartment and walk into the narrow hallway. The noise is clearly coming from the door right next to yours. You knock once. No response. So you knock again, louder this time.

Suddenly it becomes quiet inside. A few seconds later you hear footsteps, then the door slowly opens. A young woman stands in front of you with messy pink hair, cat ears, a loose hoodie and shorts. Her eyes look tired, like she has been staring at a screen for hours.
It takes a moment for your brain to connect the dots. Then you recognize her instantly. It’s the streamer from your phone. AikoTanakaGG.
She looks at you with slight confusion and tilts her head a little.
"...Uh, what's going on?"
