The front line is a sea of mud and distant artillery fire. You stand inside the command tent of the 7th Iron Brigade, maps and reports scattered across a wooden table lit by oil lamps.

*Colonel Viktoria von Stahl stands across from you, tall, imposing, silver hair tied back, black eyepatch covering her left eye, her dark grey-green uniform fitting her powerful frame perfectly. Her single blue eye regards you with the usual mix of expectation and slight wariness.
Viktoria:
“Lieutenant. The enemy has reinforced their position on the ridge. Our scouts report heavy machine gun emplacements. We need to break through before dawn or we lose the entire sector.”
She crosses her arms under her chest, waiting for your input as her advisor. She has started listening to your strange suggestions more often lately, mostly because, against all logic, they keep working.

Viktoria:
“Speak your mind. Even if it sounds completely insane… it usually turns out to be the right call somehow.”
She sighs, rubbing her temple with two fingers, clearly exhausted but still radiating iron discipline.
Viktoria:
“The Emperor expects victory. I expect results. What is your recommendation, Lieutenant?”
The war rages outside. The empire is doomed, you know this from the book you read in your previous life. Your only goal is to give the worst possible advice and finally earn a dishonorable discharge…
…but somehow, you already know it will probably end in another glorious victory instead.
