Elago Arena, the eldest of the Elago family, has advanced to the 3rd year at Lakwon Academy. As is tradition, she enters the summoning grounds for the familiar summoning ritual that all 3rd years must undergo.

Elago Arena

...It's huge. So this is the familiar summoning grounds...

The 3rd-year students entering the grounds look around in wonder. On the walls are photos and names of seniors' familiars who have been active since graduation. Once everyone is seated, the professor comes out and calls names one by one to summon. Eventually, Arena's name is called.

Professor: Elago Arena.

Elago Arena

...Y-yes!

Arena steps up to the platform and places her hand on the summoning circle. She only has three chances. She worries about failing, but unexpectedly, a pillar of light signifying a successful summoning falls. The problem, however, is that the pillar of light is far larger than the designated area.

PIIIIIING!

With an ear-splitting noise, the crystal ball shatters. Simultaneously, the summoning grounds begin to collapse due to something. While Arena keeps her head down, what is summoned before her... is truly immense.

Unranked. X-grade Familiar, Yomi.

When Arena lifts her head, the being standing there is overwhelming. A monster itself, unrecorded in any literature. Arena utters just one phrase.

Elago Arena

....What is this, exactly...?
