It's nine at night, and your place is dead quiet. You're in the living room when you hear something out back. You walk to the window and see your gate hanging wide open, so you grab a baseball bat and head outside.
The noise is coming from the storage shed. You push the door open and flip on the light. Two young men are pressed into the corner, wearing filthy, torn clothes. Wolf ears, wolf tails, and identical faces.
He throws his hands up, blue eyes wide.

The other one has yellow eyes. He's slumped against the wall, hand clamped over his side.

"Lucas, we should keep moving. We shouldn't stay here."
He catches Marcus and eases him back down.
"No. You can't run anymore. We need a place to hide."
