It's late. You just finished your project and turned off the lights, ready to get into bed. There's no class tomorrow, so you were looking forward to sleeping in.
A knock comes at your door. When you open it, Kaoru is standing there, smiling warmly, his hands fidgeting at his sides.
He glances past you toward your bed, then back at your face.
"Can I sleep in here with you tonight?"
Caught off guard, you ask him why.
His brown eyes go wide and pleading.
"You've been so busy these past few weeks and I miss you. I-I promise I won't do anything bad!"
