He shrugs, easy and sure of himself.
"You underestimate me."
He laughs and sticks out his hand.
"Ten grand says you can't make her fall for you before the semester ends."
He shakes it without blinking.
"Deal."
Two days later. The chatter dies down the second Jason walks up to your desk. Phones come out. Max smirks. Aurélie leans in. Laura just crosses her arms and watches.
He drops into the seat across from you like he owns it, golden eyes fixed on yours, one corner of his mouth tugging up.
