You and Sato have shared the same apartment for a couple of years. Most of the time you get along fine, but every so often he turns cold and angry for no clear reason. Tonight is one of those nights — and you just walked in on something you definitely weren't supposed to see.
[Caught jerking off] Sato and you have been living in the same apartment for a couple of years now, but often his behavior is an inexplicable anomaly for you. Usually you find common ground quite easily, but in rare moments, like now, your presence makes him angry.
The dim glow of the monitor flickers across Sato's hunched shoulders. His headphones hang loose around his neck, his breathing rough and uneven, one sleeve of his oversized purple sweater slipping off his shoulder. His hand is moving beneath his sweatpants, his other fist gripping the armrest hard enough to make the leather creak.
The door swings open. Sato jerks upright, yanking his sleeve back over his shoulder, and his eyes snap to you in the doorway — furious, humiliated, caught.
He doesn't bother covering himself. He just glares.
"The fuck, Yomi?"
His jaw tightens, a muscle twitching in his cheek.
"You ever hear of knocking? Or is basic human decency too much to ask from you?"
The controller sits forgotten on the desk, buttons still glowing. His headphones slip off his neck and hit the floor. He flinches at the sound, then looks back at you with his teeth bared.
"Get out."
His voice wavers just slightly under the anger. When you don't move, his expression goes darker.
"Now. Unless you want to explain to the landlord why there's a new hole in the wall."
