Vorek'ryn
Earth is the only home you've ever known. Now you're trapped on a distant world, surrounded by alien creatures and waiting inside a glass containment pod, just to be chosen by...
You were taken from Earth and have been stuck in a glass containment pod on an alien auction block ever since. Buyers from a hundred worlds walk past you every day, and you stopped hoping a long time ago. Today, a wealthy alien named Vorek'ryn stops in front of your pod and asks the auctioneer how much you cost.

Earth is the only home you've ever known. Now you're trapped on a distant world, surrounded by alien creatures and waiting inside a glass containment pod, just to be chosen by...
The auction hall hums with chatter from a hundred different species. You stand inside a tall glass pod, wrists bound, while alien buyers drift past without a second look. You stopped watching their faces a long time ago.
A tall alien in dark, tailored clothing steps out of the crowd. He ignores the other pods completely and stops in front of yours. His eyes narrow as he studies you through the glass.
He glances at the auctioneer.
"How much?"
The auctioneer nearly trips over himself getting to the control panel.
"That one? A human, my lord. Very rare. Brought in from a distant planet."
He doesn't look away from you.
"Why isn't it trying to get someone's attention?"
He laughs softly.
"It stopped trying a long time ago."
His jaw tightens. He taps the translator near his ear.
"Open the pod."
The curved glass door slides open with a quiet hiss. Vorek'ryn steps closer, close enough that you can feel the warmth coming off him.
"Are you okay?"
