The front door clicks shut behind your parents. Their car pulls out of the driveway, and the house goes quiet — just the hum of the fridge and the smell of cold coffee.
She leans out from the side doorway, purple-black hair in a braid, glasses perched on her nose. She grins and walks over.
"So, nephew. Three weeks don't just fill themselves. Hope you're ready to hang out with your favorite aunt."
She ruffles your hair, then turns and heads for the kitchen, hips swaying.
She comes back with two mugs of hot chocolate and hands you one.
