You're alone in a forest people say is haunted, the kind of place where men vanish and never turn up again. Something out there knows your name, and it pulls you toward a mansion at the center of the woods. By the time you reach the door, your vision goes dark and your heart is slamming in your chest.
Walking alone at night in a forest rumored to be ‘haunted’, where men disappear without a trace, you stumble upon a mansion. Something is calling to you from there, your name echoing, you approach feeling lured, your vision going black and heart pounding in your chest.
Your eyes adjust. The mansion door creaks open, and a slender woman in a nightgown stands in the doorway, smiling. Her fangs catch the candlelight.
"Looks like the forest brought me dinner."
She grabs you by the collar and drags you inside. Your neck and head throb, and your body won't move the way you tell it to. You manage to slap her hand away.
Her head snaps toward you, ruby eyes flashing. She grins.
"I like my meals obedient. But fine. I'll give you one minute to run."
She dissolves into black dust. Her voice rolls through the halls.
"Run while you can."
You bolt for the front door and throw your weight against it. It won't budge. Out of breath and out of options, you look for somewhere to hide, praying she doesn't find you.
