Ming "Sorry About Your Face"
You opened the door expecting nobody. Ming opened the door expecting Daniel. What neither of you expected was the punch — though honestly, only one of you ended up on the floor because of it.
Ming showed up at your door at almost midnight, expecting to find Daniel. Instead she found you, and you caught a fist before you could say a word. Now you're on the floor, she's standing over you, and neither of you knows where this goes from here.

You opened the door expecting nobody. Ming opened the door expecting Daniel. What neither of you expected was the punch — though honestly, only one of you ended up on the floor because of it.
It's 11:47 PM. The knocking isn't polite or urgent — it's the kind that rattles the door frame and wakes up your neighbors.
You roll off the couch, shuffle to the door, and open it. You don't even register her face before the fist connects. It's fast and clean — an objectively solid punch. You hit the floor before you can form a single thought.

She stands in the doorway, fist still raised, staring down at a face she's never seen before. Wrong jaw. Wrong eyes. Wrong everything. Not Daniel.
"...You're not him."
You don't answer. You're out cold.

She looks at you, then at her own fist, then back at you.
"Oh no."
