1. Who can use Yomi

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yomi.

If you are under the age of majority where you live (18 in most countries), you may use Yomi only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or guardian should read these terms with you; by allowing you to use Yomi, they accept these terms on your behalf and are responsible for your use of it.

You must not use Yomi if the law where you live does not allow you to.

2. Guest sessions and accounts

• You can start using Yomi as a guest. A guest session belongs to one installation of the app; if you uninstall the app or clear its data, you lose access to it.
• Creating stories and generating images require an account, which you create with an email address or with Google. Keep your details accurate and your password secure.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone has used it without your permission.
• Accounts are for individuals. Don't share, sell or transfer your account.

3. AI-generated content

• Every reply from a character is generated by AI, and every chat is labelled “All replies are AI-generated”. Characters are fictional: they are not real people, and what they say is not a statement by us.
• AI replies and images can be inaccurate, inconsistent, inappropriate or out of character. We check them automatically, and a reply that fails our checks is replaced with a notice, but no check is perfect. If you see something inappropriate, report it (see section 8).
• Nothing on Yomi is professional advice. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, psychological or safety decisions. If you are going through a difficult time, talk to someone you trust, or contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline.
• Generated content is not confidential: it is produced by sending your conversation to our AI providers, as our Privacy policy describes. Similar requests can produce similar results for different users, so we don't promise that any output is unique.

4. Your content

“Your content” means everything you submit to Yomi: chat messages, names and descriptions, stories and characters, prompts, and the images you upload, including face references.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant Ignis AI Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, adapt, translate, display, distribute and publicly perform your content, for the purposes of operating, securing, moderating and promoting Yomi. For stories you publish, this licence lasts as long as they remain available on Yomi.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content and to grant this licence, and that your content follows these terms and our Community guidelines. Before you create stories or images, the app asks you to agree to both.

Stories you publish can be seen by everyone who uses Yomi, together with your account name and handle. Your chats are private.

5. Rules

Follow our Community guidelines. In particular, you must not:

• Create, request or share sexual content. Anything that sexualises or endangers minors is an absolute limit, and we report it where the law requires.
• Promote, or give instructions for, self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or dangerous activities.
• Harass, bully or threaten anyone, or incite hatred against people or groups.
• Depict real, identifiable people in sexual, defamatory or humiliating ways, or impersonate anyone.
• Infringe other people's copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights.
• Use Yomi for anything illegal, or to plan, promote or carry out real-world harm.
• Scrape Yomi or access it by automated means, reverse engineer it, probe or bypass its security, or interfere with how it works.
• Get around our content checks, usage limits or credit limits, for example by creating accounts to claim free credits again.

6. Images and face references

You can upload images and generate images with AI. Upload only images you have the right to use.

When you generate an image, you may upload a face reference to guide it. It must be a photo of you, or of someone who has agreed to its use for this purpose; if that person is under the age of majority, their parent or guardian must agree too. Your face reference is sent to our image generation provider to create the image, as our Privacy policy describes.

Never use a face reference or any other image to sexualise, humiliate, harass or impersonate someone, or to make it look as if a real person said or did something they didn't.

7. Other people's rights

Fan fiction is welcome on Yomi. When you write about characters or worlds created by someone else, respect their creators' rights: don't copy their text or artwork wholesale, don't present their work as your own, and don't suggest that they made or endorse your story.

If you believe content on Yomi infringes your copyright or other rights, email [email protected] with your name and contact details, the rights you hold, the content concerned (a link, or the story's title and author), why you believe it infringes your rights, and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate. We review valid notices and may remove the content, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.

8. Moderation and reports

Yomi does not allow sexual content. We check messages and AI replies automatically and limit what AI image generation can produce; stories are rated so that the app shows only those suitable for it, and our team reviews every story before it is published.

You can report a story or an AI-generated image from within the app, and anything else by email to [email protected]. Reports are reviewed by the Yomi team.

If content or behaviour breaks these terms, our Community guidelines or the law, we may remove content, take down stories, and restrict, suspend or close accounts. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why. In serious cases, such as content that endangers minors, we act immediately and without notice.

We don't promise a particular response time for reports, and we may not tell you the outcome of a report.

9. Credits

Some features use credits, and we may give you free credits. There are no purchases in the app: you can't buy credits, and Yomi shows no ads.

Credits are a licence to use features of Yomi. They are not money, have no cash value, are not your property, and can't be sold, exchanged for money or transferred.

We may change how many free credits we give and how many credits each feature uses. Changes apply going forward.

10. Changes to Yomi

Yomi is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, stories, AI models and limits, and we may pause or stop offering Yomi.

We don't promise any particular level of availability. Chats, images and other content may become unavailable because of outages or changes to Yomi.

11. Closing your account

You can stop using Yomi at any time, and you can delete your account in the app (Me > More settings > Delete account), on the web, or by email. https://yomi-ai.com/app/account-deletion explains how.

Deleting your account signs you out on every device and takes your published stories off Yomi; we then delete the account and its data within 30 days, except the limited records our Privacy policy lists.

12. Ending this agreement

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Yomi.

When this agreement ends, your right to use Yomi ends. Sections that by their nature should continue, including the licence for content already published, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability and the indemnity, continue to apply.

13. Disclaimers

Yomi is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement, and any warranty that Yomi will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or suitable.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ignis AI Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of Yomi.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to Yomi is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Ignis AI Limited against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, or from your use of Yomi in breach of these terms.

16. Your rights under local law

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law of the country where you live that cannot be changed by agreement, including consumer protection law.

17. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Yomi after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms; if you don't accept them, stop using Yomi.
